Our bodies really don’t get as much love as our faces when it comes to skincare, but why? We want to look good and feel good in our whole selves whether it's in bed naked, on a beach, or in a work meeting. So schedule some daily self-care and treat your body as well as your face with these tried-and-true ways.
Dry Brushing
When: Before a shower
A TLJ firm favourite, dry brushing is nothing new, having been talked about in every publication and by every beauty and wellness influencer, but it's surprising how many of our friends admit to not doing this despite its many benefits. Exfoliation, a stimulated lymphatic system, and increased blood flow resulting in a body skin glow are all benefits. Grab a brush, and start your day with a rejuvenating routine.
Body Serums
When: After a shower, first layer of product
At one point, using face serum on our bodies was the only way to get that extra layer of benefits but now there are more and more beauty brands with serums meant for our bodies. We love a specialist body serum, especially ones with hyaluronic acid, lactic acid, AHAs, BHAs, or retinol to really nourish and repair the skin. Think of it as the secret weapon in your body care arsenal.
Body Moisturisers
When: After serum, before oil, second layer of product
Although a body moisturiser seems obvious, we actually suggest layering it between serum and oil for a truly luxurious and hydrating experience. For the moisturiser, hydration is the most important here, so go for a thick, rich cream. Imagine your skin wrapped in a cashmere blanket, soaking up all that moisture.

Body Oils
When: Last of the product layers
This is where you can really go for something super lux as the oil is where the fragrance will stay present instead of being lost in layers. You don’t have to go with a fragranced oil if you don’t want to but it definitely adds to the bougieness. Choose an oil that not only hydrates but leaves a lingering scent that makes you feel like you just walked out of a high-end spa.
Massage and Anti-Cellulite Massage
When: 1 per month up to 1 - 2 per week
Regular massages can help keep your muscles relaxed and your skin firm. Anti-cellulite massages, specifically, can help break down fat deposits and smooth out the skin’s appearance. Whether you DIY or book a session with a professional, make this a part of your routine.
Fascia Rolling
When: 3-4 times per week
Fascia rolling is like giving your connective tissues a hug. It helps release tension, increase blood flow, and improve flexibility. It also smooths skin, reduces simples and improves overall appearance.
Sauna
When: 3 - 4 times per week
Sweat it out in the sauna to help eliminate toxins, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. It’s a luxurious way to unwind and give your body the deep cleanse it deserves. Plus, it leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft.
Cold Plunge
When: After a sauna or intense workout
A cold plunge might sound intimidating, but it’s fantastic for reducing inflammation, tightening pores, and boosting your mood. The rush of endorphins post-plunge is worth the initial chill. It’s like a reset button for your body.
In-Office Treatments
When: As needed for targeted concerns
Sometimes, home care isn’t enough, and that’s where professional treatments come in. From laser therapies to advanced facials and body contouring treatments, in-office procedures can offer dramatic results for specific concerns. Treat yourself to these high-tech solutions for that extra glow.
Your body can benefit from skincare as much as you do your face. With a body care routine, you'll not only look amazing but feel it from head to toe.
